The Eternals
The Eternals are a small group of individuals who have lived long enough to not remember when they began. It is unknown how many Eternals are still alive (an Eternal does not age, can be killed), but it believed that there are fewer than 30, most of whom live quiet lives. A few, like Matthew Clevell, travel the world teaching and advising, and helping those in need. The Eternals are highly skilled in various forms of magic, few mortals can reach their power.
An Eternal cannot be created, they are not born, there is no ritual that can make one an Eternal. The Eternals simply are, and have been for an unknown amount of time. The Eternals do believe that they once had a birth and youth, but those memories have long been lost to the years. Many of the Eternals even admit to having difficulty remembering details of the Great Kaatyclyzym, a mere 1500-2500 years ago.
