June 18, 2025 - I've uploaded my entire, sorted, inspirational images gallery. The images that I've found various places online that I felt roughly fit places or characters in my world. The separate image gallery is much easier to manage than uploading images one at a time and linking them on each country's page. I was able to do in two days what has taken years because it's so daunting and I didn't want to take the week of constant uploading and coding. I will eventually be adding direct album links to each country's page here, and that will take time, but not as bad, that's just copy/paste on a couple hundred pages... But check the navigation bar to the left for the Inspiration Gallery.
May 15, 2025 - Cleaned up some of the Categories, I moved all the countries to being only in their Continent Category, rather than in several Categories. Organization is important.....
April 16, 2025 - I had made some progress on rescaling my maps, so that the scale is even between latitude and longitude, then realized I did my math wrong. Fix that, started over, made progress. Then realized that the climate is totally wrong... There are places that are no longer desert that I had written as desert, but now they are forests. This is climate change in a good way for the world but a bad way for the story. And I cannot find the v17 world that has the correct climate, and I'm currently working on v26. Landscape edits were the changes between versions, and level of detail within the program, but I've lost my climate modifications that made the story work the way I envisioned. If I did the editing to the world file, I'd then have to spend another several days exporting and sorting out several layers of 1148 maps...So, I guess I need to change my story... or at least a few chapters within the main story, and changing the descriptions on the country pages. Oh, and the Centaur's story dramatically changes, but that's only notes so far....ugh. I'm still working on this.

September 25, 2024 - My maps are huge. I did the math. My maps, which cover a 7.5° area, at 3084 pixels, comes out to approximately 1 inch equals 10 km (I know, changing messurement systems...) at the standard print resolution of 72dpi. If actually made into a globe, it would have a diameter of nearly 55 feet! Definitely not something a computer can easily render all at once. It's 11,000+ megapixels! 1 pixel covers a 135m x 135m area. Somehow I have to figure out how to color that.... Also started the export of the skyislands to the same scale, can't forget the skyislands!
September 22, 2024 - To Scale!! I've done the math, and am starting to resize my maps so they have a consistent scale along the x and y axis, and from equator to poles. My maps are 7.5° coverage, and so I'm adjusting the width of the maps to match their latitudes. It's a 48x24 grid of the 7.5° maps, so, it's a lot to go through, but I'm making progress. The results will be well worth it. Still doing lots of other work on organizing pages and categories here.
July 11, 2024 - Haven't updated the news in a while, but I have been slowly working on a few things. Some more map work, and lots of learning... But I've also, specifically today, done a lot of organization of pages and categories. Background stuff, but important stuff. I've also written a bit about a few countries, huge amount to go, but slow progress is better than none.
October 31, 2023 - Lots of huge things have been happening! Really huge. Forget 30,000 by 15,000. I've figured out vector graphics, and I'm working at 109,142 x 54,574! And then I also figured out a bit of Blender.... So, now I'm putting together a full 3D sphere of the world. And once I get that, I can make the moons and the ring system that surrounds the world and the moons. And then make the Roia (the two stars in the system), and the black hole, and even the Milky Way....I'm also going to try to get back into SpaceEngine where that can really be portrayed, assuming it'll do what it used to do and more, rather than less that it did since it did more...... It's been really cool to see my world as a world.
August 14, 2023 - I have been working on this, little bits here and there, and working on the 3D maps. But, of course, I've had another breakthrough with ProFantasy Fractal Terrains 3+, and have started the maps over again. But this time, much simpler. The new + version of FT3 allows for an export of much larger maps, and so I've turned the thousand maps I was working on, into one... Well, two, put together. And at a whopping 30,000 by 15,000 pixels, it should have good detail. Huge files... And I've figured out how to get shaped links on an image...an image map, it's called. This will allow me to select areas of the map, specifically the name of a location, and click it to open a new tab that will describe that area. It seems I'll have to do this manually, and calculate out the coordinates of the corners of the area to be used as the link, and then plug those in to an ever growing html file; thousands of links... But this is what I've been wanting to have from the beginning, I finally figured it out (I probably could have sooner, but I didn't think to look that deep in w3school, and I didn't have ChatGPT to assist, and it has assisted excellently. AI has been helpful in this process, and there are still more ways in which I am going to use it (editing, not writing). Things are coming along!
April 20, 2023 - With the advent of AI art, I've been experimenting with it to create scenes and characters that fit in my world. I'm going to be trying to get some city maps made using img2img, but haven't yet. I'm slowly working on more 3D maps, but hoping that, before too long, I can use an AI to turn my maps into a fully realized 3D world...
September 16, 2022 - Finally had a night of inspiration for writing on the main story! And I've finally finished chapter 5! I still have some notes I need to go through on my Kindle of things to fix, and a few things to add in, but the story is just about ready to leave the hometown permanently. I'm also working on another map export, I think I've finally gotten a resolution that I really like and can really use to show the details of my world. It will take a few layers of export, so still a few more days of my computer chugging away in the background, but then I'll have my world in 1,150 square maps. Then it will take a while to combine the layers, and then start filling in place names, and making the textures look more realistic. I want to get back into being serious about developing this project.
August 28, 2022 - Yeah, it's been slow. I have done a little bit here and there, but not much over the past year. But I did some work today, somethings that were actually kind of productive... Going to start another version of the maps, squaring them off. Was trying to make a map that could be theoretically printed and wrapped around a ball, to make a proper, unwarped globe, but the export missed portions in the export....really weird...leaving gaps between map columns...so I need to think about how to adjust the export settings to bypass the error.
This project isn't dead, I'm just slower than Martin. Or more distracted.
July 25, 2021 - *sigh* yeah, I haven't been doing much on this. I've gotten distracted with "Cities: Skylines" and "Sims 3," and haven't done much on this. And my secondary internal drive is failing, I've backed things up to an external, but that requires more power to run and my RV electrical system has been being weird. I will be needing to upgrade to a 24v battery soon, and need to replace a solar panel that just flew off my roof...
But, on a productive note, I did upload a new 3D round map for the front page! ....no Kayav on it yet, gotta do that... I've also been working on updating my entire website, all my subdomains. And I'm going to be slow with that too, probably... anxiety is problematic.
April 2021 - Been working more on maps slowly, but I've been busy with other things too, not spending as much time on this as I really should be. Though, I did just get Cities: Skylines, and am hoping to be able to mod the game enough to design some of my world's cities; so far it's been difficult getting the right mods working to be able to do what I need to do. In hopes of doing better with C:S and my 3D maps in Photoshop, as well as video editing, I bought more RAM for my laptop: will have 32GB rather than 16GB; should help a lot.
March 2021 - Despite not updating the news here, I have been working on the project. Mostly working on maps...of course.... But this time I think I got it figured out. I have square maps and only 135 maps, and I'm satisfied with the level of detail and coverage they provide. Some of the maps I will have to combine for logical coverage as some have only small parts that extend into the adjacent map. But, it's gonna be good. And if I want to go further detailed into an area, I'll do so specifically, instead of a complete world export. The only reason I'd do another map export is if I can figure out how to add another level of erosion within FT3 that looks remotely realistic.
I've also been working on the "DM's Version" of this project. It contains the secret stuff and notes.
January 2021 - World Machine, Gaea, Terragen, Unity, and something else... unsuccessfully trying to learn how to use these other 3D programs to render the FT3 heightmaps. The biggest problem is that my maps are too big... These programs want to work with a scale that equals to just a few square pixels in FT3. Plus FT3's maps are not equal scale for each latitude. So, it might not be possible with current programs...
December 2020 - Exporting the new Kayav maps, and beginning the assembly of map files into .PSDs and beginning the 3D renders. Also adding more details to random Pages.
November 2020 - Discovered a better heightmap, for underwater, within Fractal Terrains, and learned a few other things, so I've begun another export of maps... More detailed, 2075 maps... Much more detailed. I'll be able to show detailed roads and terrain, assuming I learn how to color terrain, or get assistance.
October 29, 2020 - Among many small updates over the past few weeks, and working on another proof-read through my primary book, today I gave development to the Ndourin.
September 19, 2020 - I should update this more often as I work, I've been doing a lot of scattered things: 3D maps, country page updates, spelling fixes, adding Categories, and studying. I've downloaded the wikis for all of Earth's countries, and independent states and plan to read them over the course of a year, hopefully. 330 PDFs. So much to work on, and I still don't know if there's a point to any of it...especially the way the world's going... I've been finding inspiration for my story in events taking place in the real world and conversations held. And each idea spurs other ideas, eventually they'll be organized enough to be written.
July 27, 2020 - Been doing small bits here and there throughout the wiki all month, the month has been pretty chaotic. Mostly good-chaos, but the only laws that have been abided by are Attraction and Murphy...
July 3, 2020 - A friend was going to come by to help with some writing, and get him going on it once he headed back home, but transportation didn't work out easily enough on his end, and I got blocked in by people visiting the beach...the parking lot is not organized and it fills quickly and chaotically...the parking lot definitely is impacted by Kaalru...lol!
June 28, 2020 - I've got solar panels hooked up on my RV now, so I'm generating more power than I use, which means I can use my laptop even on foggy days without worry of running down my battery. The other day I made another 3D map, B003000, and today made B003001, and just uploaded those. One more for B-level, though I might need to redo a few, and then it's on to the C-level maps...and that's a lot...
I've done a bit more writing, including a new side story which is helping me write my main story, so there ends up being spoilers in the new side story. But I've figured out how I can write on my Kindle, so it's been helpful on those creative days. So hopefully even more will be coming soon.
April 30, 2020 - It's been a long time... Living at that location with those people made it impossible to work on this. But I've moved out, and into an RV and I'm on the road. I currently don't have solar panels so I can't use my laptop much, but hopefully that will change soon and I can get back to writing. I've had some great ideas over the year and I've taken notes, but hadn't done much writing. I did manage to get a little more written on Chpt 5, introduced a new character and furthered the bad smell plot to a good transition that I was previously blocked on. Hopefully I can do a lot more soon.
I'm starting to read Mercedes Lackey for some inspiration. She had a large number of books for her world. Should be a good study.
February 13, 2019 - I got a new laptop! It's much better and can render the 3D maps much faster. I've uploaded Map B001000, and the more will be soon.
December 17, 2018 - Moved and mostly settled in. I briefly shared my website with one of my housemates, but it conversation didn't get far. Hasn't been as easy to bring up as I was hoping, and other fun game plans haven't been able to be made yet.
But... I have managed to render out another map in 3D! Vunñar area is now mapped in 3D at the B level. Map B002001 is now available! So, that's a big step of productivity.
I'm thinking about perhaps eventually putting together a video discussing my world so I can try to record more ideas that I haven't been able to type out.
November 18, 2018 - Categories! I was looking up some wiki code and came across the Categories special pages, and realized how absolutely useful that could be for organizing pages. So I've added a Page Sortings menu item which will take you to the various Categories, and the Subcategories and lists of Pages that are part of each Category. I got quite a bit done on it today, but there's still lots to do.
I also updated the Nations Template, which will have to now be applied to all the country pages...lots of back-end organization.
Also did a bit of editing of the first book.
Getting closer to moving day.
November 11, 2018 - Been still working on fixing nation pages, making progress, slowly. Uploaded the 3D maps that I have currently made, my laptop isn't really good enough to render the 3D maps, and my desktop's 1TB drive died so I'm using an old 128GB drive and my external 4TB on the desktop instead of the laptop, which means I'm limited on other things I can work on while rendering the maps, especially since the laptop has audio synch problems with internet videos. So many hold-ups. Also added some notes from mythology on Elves and Dwarves that I found, I'm going to start collecting real-world myth and stories to help guide my writing of races as they exist in my world.
I'm moving at the end of the month, so I might not get too much more done on this until December, but I'll be in a position to have help on the project, possibly, which means this could start to grow a lot faster in 2019!
October 28, 2018 - Worked through Doelel fixing the typos, adding images and Avel regions.
October 24, 2018 - I spent several hours updating nation pages, I've gone through Drrajh adding Avel regions and images which inspire me for the nation. Also fixing a few typos. though, sometimes I wonder why I'm doing this...wondering what the point is...
October 21, 2018 - Oops, haven't updated the news here...I've been doing some work on another website, but it doesn't seem to be working. And then my life kinda went topsy-turby and I decided I'm going to move at Christmas, financially that will work out best for me. I'll be moving back to be closer to my family and to friends, friends that game and could possibly help with this project.
July 21, 2018 - I've updated the calendar to something way more interesting and telling to the seasons. Also created an image to show what the Roia actually look like at the beginning of each month--their alignment to each other. Also fixed the skin update so that people other than me can see the added icons. I do need to do more to the skin, but that will come in time. I spent the past week working on a redesign of my photography website, and less on this. But now that my main website is updated, I'll be back to work on this project.
July 9, 2018 - I've copied the previous B-level map data to the new maps that I'll be using for the 3D maps. Haven't rendered them yet, but labels are copied over. My computers are barely good enough to do the renderings...
June 30, 2018 - Added a new subrace of humons that live on the seas, and changed the set up for the stories to list all books currently in the works. Almost done with exporting the heightmaps, then I start adding them to the current psd files for the maps and start rendering. Though that will take years to do them all, it will help me get into the details of the world locations.
June 28, 2018 - 3D!!! We're going 3D!!! I finally figured out a way to get my maps 3D, and it's going ok so far. I'm still working out how they are going to look: how steep to make the elevation distortion, and what scale of map will work best for display and feasability of numbers. I'm already working with 240 maps (though many of those are empty water and won't be made, likely), the scale is still pretty low detail, but I'm certainly getting closer to something quality enough to present. But...this means that I'm basically starting over on my maps...the maps I currently have, I don't remember the division overlap scaling, I suppose I could do some trial and error... Anyway, 3D maps are going to be coming. I need a better computer though (car repair first).
I'm taking the plunge, I figured out my overlap for the "texture" maps I already have and have begun generating 16,000+ heightmaps. Most will be blank, but still a lot of land area. But now we'll have some detail to the world. I'm insane.
June 23, 2018 - Huzzah for figuring out a huge plot hole that I had. I made quite a lot of advances on the storyline, added a bit of history, added to map C00700c, added a bunch of locations that will have great stories attached to them, and put in one of the most special features of my world: The Traveling Gates. It was a productive day.
June 11, 2018 - Oops, haven't been updating the news...even though there's no updates listed, I've done quite a bit over these two months. I've written up some stuff on a couple countries, updated a few maps, and tonight I added the start to Chapter 5!
April 15, 2018 - I've added several major historical events, and decided what the old world looked like for past eras. Did some work on a few nation pages, as well.
April 9, 2018 - I've created the pages for every Avel nation, with just the basic template, so far, but this will help with developing them more. Progress.
March 17, 2018 - I put a ring around it! Actually realized I had done so a few years ago, but had forgotten, goes to show my organization and visualization are still in need of improvement. So, the world has rings now, Rings of Emiyl. Just realized, the 5-year anniversary of this world was a month ago, my gift/reward was thousands of pages of junk.
March 14, 2018 - Finally finished cleaning up the thousands of pages that were created by some evil bot. New security measures are in place.
February 14, 2018 - I've done a lot of work the past three weeks, off and on, on the Game Rules pages, and more. BUT, today I discovered that someone botted me and created 600+ user accounts and even more pages of spam. So now I have to spend my time deteting all that junk. I'm not happy, I don't have near enough alcohol to deal with this...mainly because I have none. Ugh.
January 22, 2018 - Started the day working on Dyll, and spread out from there as things were needed. Did some detail development on the map of Dyll, adding communities to the map C00a007, still a lot more to do. Added words to the language, described The Great Race, and added some new technology to the world.
January 18, 2018 - Starting to crack into nation creation, did work on Olmes, today.
January 17, 2018 - Added altitude, climate, temperature, and rainfall Maps.
January 14, 2018 - I've been pronouncing it wrong....I really should have looked up the pronunciation of æ before using it in a ton of places. I'm not sure if the correct use of this letter would even be readable in some places, or at least it's very different. I thought it would be a mush of the a and e sounds, ae, "hey" without the h, but it's not, it's like cat.. This will set me back a bit, or do I just change my thinking and my pronunciation? I'll have to think about it, before it get published, if it ever does...
January 8, 2018 - Uploaded all maps of consequence! There are a few that haven't been uploaded, but they are just water. Not all of the maps have labels on them, however, but I should be able to work on that soon. There's a lot of work that goes into creating a world.
December 2017 - I've managed to squeeze in some work on here a few times, and even while on Christmas vacation. Getting more of the important pages in.
November 28, 2017 - Finally got internet! Unlimited 4G. But then my computer was getting 403 errors while trying to access my subdomains, finally got that fixed. Today I added an About page and uploaded 48 C-level maps; still 216 to go......
September 28, 2017 - (Still don't have internet at home, I'm at the laundromat using their internet.) Updated Chapter 4, added over 8,000 words. Been working on maps, getting more regions named, and even coloring in borders, on both B and C level maps. When I have real internet I'll get them uploaded; the laundromat internet is quite slow.
August 22, 2017 - Broke up with the girlfriend and moved out, don't have internet for a while...I'll be back soon....
August 18, 2017 - Updated Uun names, and Kæa organization on the Physical Descriptions page. Uploaded maps of the Alru. Added some information on the history of the Great Kaatyclyzym. Added nation pages: Ayul, Bousk, Drajden, Drrogo, Austrivor, and Asmiad.
August 14, 2017 - Created notes pages for the Alru.
August 9, 2017 - Worked on nation pages: Arceos, Anafin, Aminias, and Aistroal.
August 8, 2017 - Continued work on grammar and language, including colors. Added a related music page. Worked on creating pre-wiki history of development, see below.

August 3, 2017 - Created table index of maps to C-level. Took a long time to do just that, so I think doing D-level will come much later, it's another 16 maps per each C-Level map, which is 16 maps per B-level map, which are of course 16 maps within the full map.
August 1, 2017 - Created pages for the celestial bodies.

July 21, 2017 - Worked on world history and a few details of The Golden Goat story
July 19, 2017 - Copied Story in, setup menu, etc. Really getting back into getting this wiki back up to where it was previously. Overwhelmed by how much work there is to do on this project.

Dates are based on file last modification and may be inaccurate as to initial creation date. This is also not a complete list of everything accomplished during the time frame. All throughout this process, I was working in html, OneNote, FreeMind, and finally TheBrain to write notes, etc. I also spent a lot of time surfing the internet for inspirational images to use, I have over 10,000 images saved for inspirational purposes, most of which were gathered during the time period below.
