Valswyn closely resemble elves

notes from mythologies about elves

The Valswyn remained hidden for many centuries after the GK, hiding mostly in dense jungles and deep caves. Few hid in remote deserts, near impossible for any one else. The world believed the Valswyn to have perished during the GK, though often someone who ventured too deep into a jungle, or the wrong cave, or attempted to cross the most inhospitable parts of the deserts, would never be seen again.

But after Prince Eluthiel exposed the continued existence of the Valswyn, word traveled quickly. Wars almost broke out between the Valswyn and other races. Though there is officially peace with the Valswyn, tensions are still high, especially towards and among the older Valswyn: those who lived during their hiding. Many Valswyn left the jungles for the deserts, but in more hospitable locations, and there they thrived. The Valswyn find more comfort in being in deserts than other environments, even if they were raised elsewhere.

Valswyn are similar to humans, with similar heights and weight. The biggest external difference between humans and valswyn are the pointed ears. Other differences included are their copper-based blood, which is green. For this reason, when a valswyn uses fire magic, the flame produced is more bluish-green than red or orange.   Valswyn is the ancient name for the elves, which has been adopted more recently. Elves are similar to humans, except that they have pointed ears, and green, copper-based blood. Valswyn prefer warm weather, and had a very difficult time surviving during the Dark Age when the planet was mostly frozen over. Once the surface warmed, they were able to thrive again in the desert areas. Some of them grew more accustomed to the cooler temperatures and prefer forests or to remain in the Uun. The Uun Valswyn are also called the dark-elves.

Valswynn are generally philosophers, usually wealthy, or dress to appear wealthy.

During the Emergence at the end of the Ice Age, there was war between the Valswyn and Ndourin for control of the surface, but as temperatures warmed, the Ndourin gave up and retreated to the poles and high mountains. And the Valswyn took control of much of the world, forcing the humons, gar, and hobbots to labor for the prosperity of the Valswyn.

The Valswynn are an enigmatic and elusive race, known for their exceptional intelligence and stoic demeanor. For centuries, they lived in hiding from the other races of the world, retreating to hidden enclaves and secret strongholds deep within the forests and mountains. They believed that the outside world was too chaotic and unpredictable, and that the best way to preserve their knowledge and way of life was to remain hidden.

However, about 400 years ago, the Valswynn emerged from their isolation and began to interact more openly with the rest of the world. This was partly due to the influence of a group of Valswynn philosophers who believed that the race had a duty to share their knowledge with others. They argued that the Valswynn had a responsibility to use their intelligence and magical abilities to help make the world a better place.

Since then, the Valswynn have become more active in the world, sharing their knowledge and expertise in magic and technology, and forging alliances with other races. They have established trade routes and diplomatic relations with many of the major powers in the world, and have even formed their own city-states in some regions.

Despite their newfound openness, the Valswynn remain a highly structured and hierarchical society, with a strong emphasis on logic and reason. They value knowledge above all else and are renowned for their expertise in a wide range of fields, including magic, technology, philosophy, and the arts. They have a strong tradition of scholarship and intellectual inquiry, and many of their most famous figures are philosophers, scientists, or artists.

The Valswynn are most comfortable in warm climates, but some have adapted to cooler temperatures and prefer forests or the Uun, where they are also known as dark-elves. They are highly attuned to emotions, with some embracing the raw power of emotion, some denying it as dangerous, and others doing their best to control them. They have a complex relationship with nature, which they view as both a source of power and a potential threat. They have a deep respect for the natural world and often incorporate natural motifs into their art and architecture.

In battle, the Valswynn are formidable opponents, using their intelligence and strategic thinking to outmaneuver their foes. They are skilled archers and mages, and their weapons and armor are often adorned with intricate designs and powerful enchantments. They are most comfortable fighting from a distance, but are also skilled in close combat. They have a strong tradition of martial arts, which they view as a form of mental and physical discipline.

The Valswynn are known for their magical abilities, particularly in the use of fire magic. When a Valswynn uses fire magic, the flames produced are more bluish-green than red or orange. They are also adept at using magic in the areas of illusion and divination. They have a complex system of magical theory and practice, which they view as a way of understanding the world and harnessing its power.

The Valswynn are a proud and philosophical people who are often wealthy or dress to appear wealthy. They have a complex social hierarchy, with different levels of status and privilege based on a combination of factors, including intelligence, magical ability, and social connections. They are a popular choice for players who want to play a character that is both magical and philosophical, with a deep connection to their emotions and the world around them.

Overall, the Valswynn are a mysterious and intriguing race, with a rich history and culture that has largely been hidden from the rest of the world.
