The Hobbot (plural; singular: Hobb) are a short and high spirited race. They are a full head and shoulder shorter than the Gar, but still a head taller than the Nome.

Most Hobbot consider Hobbtroal to be their home, even if they've never been there, though many try to make the pilgrimage at least once in their 125-year average lifespan. Hobbtroal is the heartland of the Hobbot, its landscape and weather are ideal to the typical Hobb mentality: gardening and fishing.

The Hobbot typically have a natural green-thumb and are excellent producers of food and drink.

Although most Hobbot prefer a quiet life in nature, many over the centuries since the Great Kaatyclyzym desired adventure and spread throughout the world. It did not take long for any Hobb to become a welcomed part of any community, as fine food and drink would always accompany them. These Hobbot would settle into a community, improving its food, and would grow families. Although Hobbot typically have more than five children, each one is usually spaced out by several years, but a community can quickly become impacted with Hobbot within 300-600 years. This has led to Hobbot sections in larger cities.

The early Hobbot Landless were often negotiators or helped set up negotiations between wandering tribes after the GK, and as nations expanded. These negotiators were not always successful, and wars still took place.

Legends from before the GK tell of the Hobbot being supporters of ending Humons slavery.
