The Great Dust Storm

As the seasons change, winds pick up out of western Væensal carrying the desert sands across Queneth Auriese and onto Vunnar coating the eastern coast. Some of the sands make their way across the Arnturi Auriese to Doelel.
These storms are vicious and make sea travel treacherous and air travel impossible.
The Vunnar coastal kayav float just above the dust cloud layer, "Roots in the dust." The dust-filled winds cause the kayav to shake, whereas most kayav around the world are unaffected by wind.
