Undead~Reincarnated

Though a Reincarnated person usually does not wish to be referred to as Undead, they technically are. However, they are not a Race, but it is an individual's Soul's condition. Any of the Races can be Reincarnated.

Reincarnation and Resurrection are possible, and result in a fully alive Body. However, sometimes, a small portion of the person escapes to become part of Illek's Meal, and the Reincarnated or Resurrected person is missing some memories, or their personality may change to some degree.

The ability to Reincarnate or Resurrect someone requires a huge energy pull from Nature and Self, only those highly skilled at Life magick can perform the spells. However, there are many Onal Knights which are capable, and a few magical objects which have been imbued with the ability to Reincarnate, and even fewer able to Resurrect.

The spell is usually reserved for children and Gladiators. If a Gladiator is killed during an event, they are Resurrected and Retired. Children that get sick or die in accidents are often Resurrected, if there is someone capable nearby.

Although the spells may be cast upon anyone that has died from any cause, not every Soul will return to a new or repaired Body, and sometimes the Reincarnation or Resurrection spell fails, and the individual remains dead.
