LATEST NEWS: August 14, 2023 - I have been working on this, little bits here and there, and working on the 3D maps. But, of course, I've had another breakthrough with ProFantasy Fractal Terrains 3+, and have started the maps over again. But this time, much simpler. The new + version of FT3 allows for an export of much larger maps, and so I've turned the thousand maps I was working on, into one... Well, two, put together. And at a whopping 300,000 by 150,000 pixels, it should have good detail. Huge files... And I've figured out how to get shaped links on an image...an image map, it's called. This will allow me to select areas of the map, specifically the name of a location, and click it to open a new tab that will describe that area. It seems I'll have to do this manually, and calculate out the coordinates of the corners of the area to be used as the link, and then plug those in to an ever growing html file; thousands of links... But this is what I've been wanting to have from the beginning, I finally figured it out (I probably could have sooner, but I didn't think to look that deep in w3school, and I didn't have ChatGPT to assist, and it has assisted excellently. AI has been helpful in this process, and there are still more ways in which I am going to use it (editing, not writing). Things are coming along!
It's been 1500 years since 1000 years of quakes ended, and 1000 years since relative world-wide peace was achieved. There are islands in the sky; underwater and underground civilizations abound. Airships and horseless carriages powered by spinning magnet-lined drums are new technologies, and magic is prevalent. Friendly competitive sports are a cornerstone of civilization. But not all is as it seems.
The Avel`Uun~Auriese~Kaya
The AUAK is a "ringed" world with four moons, and two stars, orbiting a black hole outside of the Milky Way Galaxy. The AUAK is so-named for the four levels of the world: Avel, Uun, Aruiese, and Kaya (I keep going back and forth between Kaya and Kæa). The ground surface, the underground, the oceans, and the air and sky-islands. The four moons, or Alru, are Onalru, Pualru, Vialru, and Kaalru. The stars are called the Roia, and they are named Verroi and Merroi. The black hole is called Illek.
This is a so-far solo project that I've worked on occasionally. There is a lot here and a lot of empty space that I need to fill.
