At least that's the popularly held myth. This stems from the seemingly evil powers that are available to those gifted in Alru Magic. Pualru is a volcanic moon and often has eruptions which are visible from the AUAK. Those whom use Fire Spells claim to pull from Pualru. Though Pualru is often seen as a implementer of evil, it also takes evil, or one's sins. On the night of a full Pualru, those that follow Onalru give up their sins to Pualru. Some argue this practice, believing it gives evil power to Pualru which can then be taken by the followers of Pualru and used for evil gain: the Good feeds the Evil.
