Sacred Springs

The Sacred Springs of Eva are temples throughout the world constructed around freshwater springs that provided water during the Great Kaatyclyzym and after as communities began to settle.

Most of these temples are isolated from large communities, but a few have cities built around them.

Each temple is guarded and entry into the temples is strictly forbidden, though any may gaze upon the temple's central altar and bell jar containing a heart sacrificed willingly by someone pure. The purity of the heart maintains the purity of the waters flowing from the springs. If a corrupt heart, or unwilling heart, is placed in the bell jar, the waters become poisoned, and anything that uses that water supply dies.
