On edge of forest is a black chocobo, it initially tries to frighten off the group, but Griegg charms it, and learns it has a nest. They leave it alone.
Entering the forest, they travel deep, and Raain is surprised they haven't yet met an elf guard, her brother always said they were quick to guard and stop uninvited guests. (Turns out, the Train Man had already arrived and told the elf lord that Griegg would be coming, but had already left)
