Islands that float in the sky.
These huge chunks of land were expelled during the Great Kaatyclyzym.
Magnetic and gravitational anomalies cause these islands to remain aloft. Most are stationary, others move slowly, usually in a spiral pattern. Some have been anchored with huge chains.
Even on a clear day, there can be occasional lightning strikes between the Kaeav and the ground, during storms the lightning show is astonishing.
Most Kaeav have vast, technologically advanced cities using wind power.
I keep going back and forth between Kayav and Kæav, but I think I'm going to finalize on using the "ay" instead of the "æ."
