Austner Humons are humons that left to the sea during the Great Kaatyclyzym, and over the generations have developed slight differences from their Avel`Uun~Kaea kin.
The Austner have developed a webbing between their toes and functioning gills for breathing water just below the clavicle.
Most live in the open salt water oceans, but there are some in the Yubar Aurien and even in a few large freshwater lakes.
Although an austner is most at home on the water, they are able-bodied on land, and spend most of their lives on boats.
